We ask every operator who takes our Health Score what they pay for their books each month, all in. The answer we hear most is "I've never added it up." I get it. I ran restaurants before I started FIXE. You didn't open a restaurant to do bookkeeping at midnight, and you sure didn't open one to audit your software bills. But you can't decide whether to switch anything until you know what you pay now. So let's add it up, line by line. And I'll tell you up front: for some of you, FIXE will cost more in fees than what you have today. I'd rather you hear that from me. An outside bookkeeper or firm? Their monthly invoice. Someone on your payroll? What you pay them for that work. You? Write zero and keep reading, because your hours count later. ## Line 2: the software you already pay for Every FIXE plan includes QuickBooks Online, MarginEdge and Loop subscriptions, plus automatic vendor bill pay (A/P automation). So pull last month's card and bank statements and find what you pay for those, or for any bill pay or A/P app doing the same job. Leave out payroll and your POS. We don't count those on either side. Fair warning: this is the part where you find out you're paying for software nobody at your restaurant opens. ## Line 3: your hours Now count the hours, everyone combined, per week. Not all finance work, just the work we'd take over: entering bills, paying vendors, matching bank and card statements, chasing receipts, delivery app disputes and sales tax filings. If you already counted someone's pay in line 1, don't count their hours again. Hours aren't cash, so they get their own line. Don't skip the statement matching, though. What you don't reconcile, you donate. ## Now the FIXE bill Our prices are public, so here they are: - **Essentials:** $690 a month per location, built for restaurants under $2.5M in sales. - **Pro+:** $830 a month per location, up to $7.5 million in revenue. - **Premium:** $1,200 and up per location. Groups with 20 or more locations can ask about scale pricing. Every plan comes with QuickBooks Online, MarginEdge and Loop, automatic vendor bill pay, cloud POS integration, a third-party delivery dashboard, a personalized account manager, unlimited email support and 24/7 portal access. What's not in the plan: payroll is an add-on ($150 a month under 30 employees, $250 for 30 or more, plus $100 a month for weekly payroll), and income-tax filing isn't included. That's why payroll and income tax stay out of the comparison on both sides. ## When FIXE costs more Add lines 1 and 2. Put that next to the FIXE bill for your size. Say you're one location under $2.5M in sales. Essentials is $690 a month. If your bookkeeping plus that software costs you less than $690 a month, FIXE costs more in fees. That's just math, and I'm not going to dress it up. So the real question is what the difference buys you: - **Your hours back.** That's line 3. - **Your profit and loss report (P&L) sooner.** FIXE gets you your P&L 5 business days after the month ends. The typical wait is 3 to 4 weeks. You're deciding blind. I won't put a dollar value on getting your P&L weeks sooner. You know what a month of guessing costs better than I do. And if your P&L already shows up on time, your accounts are matched every month, and nobody loses their evenings to bills? Keep what you have. I mean it. We're here to serve, and sometimes that means telling you that you don't need us. ## When FIXE costs less If your bookkeeping plus that software comes to more than the FIXE bill for your size, FIXE costs less in fees. That's before you count your hours or the faster P&L. The tools every plan includes become your cancel list. Go down your statements and mark every one you'd stop paying for. ## Never added it up? Start with your break-even If you don't know line 1 or line 2 yet, you're in good company. Work it backwards: the FIXE bill for your size is your break-even. One location on Essentials? If your bookkeeping and that software cost more than $690 a month, FIXE costs less in fees. If they cost less, FIXE costs more.
